Our GRE sir told us to byheart all the 3600 words,no not till the next class but in a span of about 100 days, thats about 36 words a day! but what followed was an interesting anecdote by him” a year ago a student approached him and asked whether or not the roots of all the words are to be byhearted, our sir said it was a must and would help him in deciphering the meaning of the word faster....concerned about that student he asked him hadn’t he started it, as the sheet of the roots was passed to every student in the 1st lecture some 3 months ago.....the student told him that someone from Michigan state university had posted a list of roots online ...when our sir cross verified the list which the student had brought with him ,with the one that was distributed in class,it so happened that they were the same”
Well the moral to be learnt hear is simple, we won’t follow our teacher's instructions...we won’t do our homework until we see that a friend of our’s is putting his/her assiduous efforts into doing it, its then that we get all gung ho about not only learning roots for GRE but also other things.Ever wondered how that nextdoor chotu is suddenly keen about learning to strum the guitar.....ask him and he’s sure to reply ”arre who chintu jata hai na isliye main bhi jata hu”...not caring whether his interests are inline with his actions..well not only that chintu is to blame ,I am not less....well i am on blogger since may 09..suddenly i have 2 post in a span of 24hours...strange isn’t it....well thanx to pooja....we don’t follow the heard, but in the heard there seems to be a close friend and we join without second thoughts!!
